The ‘Steel Look’ Reynaers SlimLine 38 aluminium windows from Zyle Fenster are perfect for modern architecture
27th August 2019
At Zyle Fenster, we help architects and designers to achieve their clients’ visions using the latest high-performance windows and doors. The highly insulated aluminium Reynaers SlimLine 38 series has a fabulous ‘steel look’ and is ideal for modern architecture. Available in three unique designs (Classic, Cubic and Ferro), they are ideally suited for new buildings, as their unique slim lines allow for an abundance of light to come flooding in.
In this case, this was a new development where the planning restrictions called for steel look windows for the building. Reynaers was an ideal choice and was specified due to its slim lines, the strength of the profiles and as a-thermally efficient solution.
These windows are also perfectly suited for the retention of existing structures such as an older conservatory, for example. The current vintage appearance can be beautifully preserved, whilst dramatically improving the thermal performance of the windows and doors. Equally, these aluminium windows and doors are also used in renovation projects, where the steel frames have to be replaced. But architects and designers also love them because their strong slimline aluminium profiles give an industrial and minimalistic appeal to modern contemporary buildings.
The broad range of SlimLine 38 aluminium windows includes both inwardly and outwardly opening casement windows, inwardly and outwardly opening doors and also full curtain wall solutions. All windows and window-doors are available with hidden hinges, which further enhances their design and appearance. Designers can choose from a full range of polyester powder coat colours and anodized finishes and our dual colour system means that these windows and doors can also be produced with different colours on the inside and outside.
The SlimLine 38 series features a highly insulated 3-chamber system with ultra-slim profiles for increased thermal characteristics. The solution is available in fixed, turn, and turn-tilt variations with Uf values down to 1.4 W/m²K double and 1.1 W/m²K triple glazing without losing the minimalistic look. They have weather stripped profiles with polyamide thermal breaks and their drained and ventilated glazing uses EPDM gaskets. The use of EPDM synthetic rubber is ideal as this provides excellent resistance to environmental factors such as ozone, UV and general weathering.
Thesmall drip nose on the vents also reduces the water load on these gaskets and the SlimLine 38 series comes with a 10 year systems guarantee provided as standard.
In combination with its superior insulation capabilities, the SlimLine 38 series provides the perfect harmony between durable material, timeless design and demanding architectural challenges.
